One of the most important problems that aesthetic medicine answers is the loss of skin elasticity and the appearance of wrinkles. While the CO2 fractional laser or platelet-rich plasma operate at the dermis level or by providing growth factors, HIFU (High Intensity Focused Ultrasound) technology represents an innovative approach to the issue of skin rejuvenation. Treatments using this method give spectacular effects by acting on deep layers of the skin, resulting in a non-invasive, non-surgical face lift, as well as selected areas of the body. The changes are visible after the first treatment!

HIFU allows you to achieve a face lifting effect without using a scalpel.

What is HIFU technology?

The principle of HIFU operation is as follows: the head applied to the body produces high-frequency ultrasound. These waves penetrate the deep layers of the dermis and subcutaneous tissue, where they warm up the collagen fibres present at this level – the main building block of the skin, responsible for its elasticity and firmness. Increasing the temperature to about 65 degrees Celsius destroys collagen present in this place and creates new, properly cross-linked.

What are the benefits of this? Well, the newly created tissue undergoes contraction, which results in greater firmness of the skin – this way we obtain a lifting effect. Ultrasounds are delivered to the deep layers of the skin in a very precise mechanism, without causing damage to the epidermis or surrounding tissues. Currently, it is the only technology next to the surgical technique that allows it to operate within such deep layers of the skin.

The effectiveness and safety of HIFU technology have been confirmed in many scientific studies carried out in different parts of the world. They indicated, among others for results comparable with surgical facelift operations, but without the associated complications. First of all, the beneficial effect of the HIFU treatment on wrinkles, greater cohesiveness, as well as improved skin texture have been demonstrated.

Is the procedure painful?

The procedure does not require deep anaesthesia. During the procedure, the patient feels warm, sometimes burning, at the transducer site. You can apply creams and ointments with an aesthetic before the procedure.

In the Dr. Stachura Clinic, after consultation, individual methods of anaesthesia can be used.

How long can the effects be observed and how long do they last?

The maximum effect of the treatment is visible after 2-3 months, facial features rejuvenate significantly. However, immediately after the treatment the skin condition improves. The effects last up to 2 years. After this time, however, the skin maintains a rejuvenated appearance relative to the initial state, because as a result of the treatment we revitalize, i.e. renew the skin.

How many times should the treatment be repeated to achieve maximum effect?

One treatment is usually sufficient to obtain the maximum effect in your area. However, the best and most lasting effects are obtained after repeating the procedure after 4-6 months.
